I work in the marketing department of my organization. We use Photoshop in our team to support the communication efforts in our community. I personally use it as the video producer, and several other team members use it including our graphic designer and our art director.
  • Quick edits
  • Multi-layered edits with multiple assets
  • Resizing assets for web
  • Composite images
  • Image compression
  • Magnetic Lasso
  • Vector editing
Photoshop is a great multi-purpose tool for any photographer, graphic designer, or marketing team. If you are working with lots of photos, maintaining a website, or even producing videos, Photoshop is an invaluable tool. If you have a very narrowly focused job that only works with vectors, or never have the need to self-produce graphics or manipulate still assets, Photoshop wouldn't be necessary.

Photoshop is used for image editing and incorporating illustrations for learning solutions. Many of the editing tasks require image 'clean-up' such as removing objects and people, color correction, and brightness. Once the image has been touched up, then there is often the inclusion of illustrative features to make the images more compelling or a manner of including text.
  • Object or person removal.
  • Image touch up.
  • Easy to learn.
  • Finding options in the different window elements.
  • Explaining why options/filters are not available such as requiring a flattened layer.
  • Easier iteration when removing an object. If the removal isn't great, the next iteration doesn't always recognize what was required to remove.
This program is perfect for any image-manipulating scenario as long as the individual understands some basic image editing concepts such as drop shadow or gradient. The Photoshop program makes it easy to identify the correct size for an image for different applications from print, web, or social media platforms. This streamlines the creative process.

I've been using PhotoShop for quite some time now but I love the new update - generative AI makes my work a lot more easier and it allows me to do better work as well. Generative fill helps my creativity, all this while I visualise things in my head and then decide if there's something worth to put into execution. Now? I can easily translate all my concepts to tangible rough mocks in a matter of seconds. Yes, it may not be as easy to use as compared to Canva but there is a reason why PhotoShop has been at the helm of design for decades now. UI is intimidating at first, definitely not the most intuitive tool but as you use the software more, things get a lot more easier.
  • Generative fill
  • Image editing
  • Basic marketing collateral design
  • UI - I do think that something could be simplified
  • Cost - while creative cloud is priced economically, for people who just want one software - I think it could be priced better.
PhotoShop is best suited for photo editing, generative AI image creation and I guess it would be less appropriate for things like vector graphics creation, presentations, logo design, video editing, vector animation (like after effects)

I use Adobe Photoshop to edit images to add to newsletters, documents, websites, and more. It’s a very useful tool and I’ve been using it for years. I recommend it to anyone who is in the field and working with graphic design. They also have so many different tutorials to help you grow.
  • Photo editing.
  • Cloud saving software.
  • Healing tool.
  • Improved mobile.
  • No crashes.
  • New features.
If you’re working for a web firm company you absolutely want to have Adobe Photoshop as one of your tools. It’s one of the best photo editing apps out there and also can work very nicely with illustrator and InDesign. If you haven’t tried out Adobe Photoshop yet what are you waiting for?

I currently use Adobe Photoshop to touch up photos and create infographics and advertisements for our department. It is also used for graphic design and photo editing in the university branding and marketing office. It is extremely important to have eye-catching designs and photos to use in printed pieces as well as digital images.
  • Adobe Photoshop provides great features to design an image from a blank canvas.
  • Users are able to create dynamic images for a variety of multimedia platforms.
  • The software is great for creating works of art from a simple photo.
  • This is not an intuitive software for a beginning user, especially if the user has not used any of the Adobe design products.
  • The cost can scare some away. Although you can subscribe to a monthly plan for the cloud version, a stand alone version is very costly.
  • It would be extremely useful to have wizards for creating filters and various types of photo masks. Easily accessible shortcuts would be such a time saver!
Adobe Photoshop is great for not only photo editing but creating beautiful images for a variety of platforms. I have used Photoshop to create designs from business card size to billboards. I have touched up photos and created web images. Photoshop has so many features that I feel like I have barely scratched the surface. It is perfect for social media as well as printed pieces.

Adobe Photoshop is used throughout the marketing department, however, I am the main user as the graphic designer. It addresses the problem of keeping our branding consistent, professional and high-end. It allows creative freedom when editing photos, creating documents for web or print, or converting files to other file types.
  • Adaptability - there are so many different tools that can be used to solve so many different problems.
  • User Interface - hover cards and tools and tips can help beginners.
  • Photo Manipulation - being able to fix images pixel by pixel is extremely beneficial.
  • I'd like the integration with Adobe fonts to be a little smoother.
  • The fact that the drag to resize tool is locked in scale compared to other Adobe products where you have to hold down the control button is inconsistent and rather irritating.
Adobe Photoshop is the only tool out on the market that has the extreme amount of capabilities for photo editing. It's suitable for small-scaled businesses and creative agencies to use. With the Creative Cloud subscription, it's suitable for students, teachers, and beginners up to advanced users.

We use Adobe Photoshop for creating our posts and editing them for our social media accounts. Adobe Photoshop has lots of important features, color patterns and color selections. It is important to have a Photoshop program with such color selection features to create better designs and image editions. You can edit your photo with stock color patterns or you can find your own pattern.
  • Photo editing.
  • Color patterns.
  • Shadow quality.
  • Complex dashboard.
  • Hard to understand layer section.
  • Complex color features.
Adobe Photoshop is a helpful tool for creating images and editing images. You can create images for social media, like posts and photoshopped images. It is handy for people who are working in the social media industry or as graphic designers. You can design your images like how you would like to do it with its impressive color pattern.

I am using Adobe Photoshop in my organization for different purposes. Let's Discuss
1) Photoshop is intentionally designed for Photo Editing and Manipulation.
2) But nowadays people use photoshop for Banner Designs, Poster Designs, Brochures, Logo Mockup presentations, and Mockup Designs.
3) Now there is an option available for Sharing your files on a cloud server.
  • Photoshop is very good at Photo Editing and Photo Manipulation.
  • You can design Banners, Posters and Brochures.
  • Design Mobile Apps and Website is very easy to use.
  • Adobe Photoshop is too expensive for individual user.
  • Batch work with Photos should be improved.
  • Animation Timeline needs to be little bit smoother.
It's been 8+ years since I've been using Adobe Photoshop and found some interesting points. It is a great tool for Photo Manipulation. Here are a lot of features available in Adobe Photoshop. While cropping images pen tool works really smooth. Layer Management and grouping them is a big relief. I have used photoshop for creating wireframes and mockups. Now more efficient tools are available in the market but at that time it really worked for me. As for disadvantages: It's a bit expensive and requires a powerful system.

It has been a professional development tool in my work. I feel that I have advanced a lot, acquiring more skills in each creative task I perform daily with this software. In short, Photoshop gives me the ability to achieve optimal, professional, and high-level work.
  • It is a very stable software and allows the integration of many other features.
  • I love Photoshop, I have been using it for a long time and every year they have been improving its features and making our creative work grow to a very professional level.
  • Its non-linear interface allows one to work quickly, and its set of tools is very powerful, with them you can achieve impressive things, from making perfect selections to remove objects or erase backgrounds, to making paths to export and model them in other software.
  • The possibility of developing any creative idea without limits is one of Photoshop's advantages.
  • I think there is nothing I don't like about Photoshop because it has everything. Although the only negative point would be its interface should be more intuitive and have more didactic explanations as they do with the tools. This would help people who are just starting to use it to understand it better and faster.
It provides an incredible array of options, from the kind of visual workspace that one prefers to the extensive library of editing tools that can leave one satisfied with the result. In the four or so years that I've been using it, I have found it to be most reliable in allowing me to edit just about any image, to make my work look like that of a professional.

I rely on photoshop to cater to my organizations digital creative production needs like UI/ UX, website designing, prototyping, wireframing, emailers, banners, ebrochures, certificates, image editing and illustration. Adobe Photoshop helps me render quality output seamlessly and maintain my production pipeline much more efficiently with the help of the cloud suite & other application integration.
  • Website designing
  • Wireframes
  • Graphic illustration
  • Image editing
  • Auto creation of GIFs and short videos by stitching photos.
  • Pre-defined templates for creating abstract images.
  • Option for auto removal of objects from background.
Photoshop is more suitable for creating user interface design, social media posts, emailers, image editing, color correction, photo correction, and other digital marketing materials. For creating scalable vector graphics or high quality artwork it is not so well suited. Options like Sketch, InDesign & Illustrator are the best options in such scenarios.

Adobe Photoshop is one of the most versatile tool out there. If you know how, you can do a lot with it. It is a easy to learn, hard to master kind of tool. But once you do master it, the possibilities are endless. You can do graphic designs, typography, photo editing & retouching, animations, layouting etc.
  • Image editing and retouching
  • Illustrations and digital painting
  • Brush Customizations
  • Allows unlimited layers
  • Integration with other Adobe Softwares
  • Works only on Pixels and not on vectors.
  • It has a very high learning curve and is not beginner friendly.
  • Starts lagging as the file size gets bigger and more layers are added.
  • Works on a subscription model which is also priced quite high.
Adobe Photoshop is widely used in the ed-tech industry be it illustrations for production, graphics for marketing, or infographics for sales. It is one software that can handle any pixel related tasks and is considered a market standard. Put on your creative cap and master the software cause the possibilities are endless. On top of that Adobe brings out timely updates and adds new features every now and then which you didn't even think you needed but you're glad it's here now.

I use Adobe PhotoShop as a family photographer for advanced and creative editing of images. Basic edits are done with Adobe Lightroom but anything that requires advanced editing, such as skin touchups, head swaps, removing distracting elements, etc. we use Photoshop. It is a very powerful tool that we are constantly using and learning more about its functionality.
  • Head swaps - replacing a better face/facial expression from a different image
  • Skin corrections - blurring, sharpening, contouring
  • Removing distracting elements from the background
  • It is a huge program that I am constantly learning about its features. For the most part whenever I think 'I wish I could do x with Photoshop' I'll Google it and find that it can be done, and I'll learn how. I find that using Photoshop is a constant learning process.
  • I dislike the switch from buying the program outright to paying a monthly fee for using the Adobe suite
I think that Lightroom is much more suited for batch processing basic edits such as cropping, basic color corrections, contrast, brightness. It is very tedious to try to use Photoshop for those aspects of editing. Photoshop excels at advanced editing techniques where images can be greatly enhanced by creative processes and individual hand-editing. I definitely use actions to speed up some of the editing processes. That being said, I strongly dislike the use of Photoshop to alter body images - whether enlarging/puffing up areas of the body or shrinking other areas. However, that is not a flaw in the product but how it is used and promotes unhealthy body image in society.

Adobe Photoshop is a widely used tool for Graphic Designing across our entire organization. It provides a complete platform for a user to develop an entire art from a blank canvas. In contrast to existing software for graphic designing, [Adobe] Photoshop provides complete freedom to the user to develop each pixel of the canvas in integration with all the creative cloud apps. All the problems, related to graphic designing can be addressed with the help of Adobe Photoshop. This includes creation and correction brochures, social media promotions, [and] professional graphics.
  • Creating posters
  • Creating logos
  • Tuning pictures
  • Expensive - It is too expensive to buy Photoshop alone, and hence leading the user to purchase the entire Creative Cloud Package though he/she is not even aware of half of those apps.
  • High System Spec - Requires high system specifications to run the application smoothly, and to use it at its best.
  • Process lag - When it comes to large-sized files, the application becomes laggy taking much time even to render a single layer.
[Adobe] Photoshop is well suited, at times when the user has to develop something from scratch. It is very advantageous, to provide an "all in one" solution for retouching, manipulating, drawing vectors, creating promotional posters. However, it is less appropriate, in the case of 3D rendering, and high-sized files, where the application turns to be laggy.

Adobe Photoshop is being used across the whole organization as a part of Adobe Creative Cloud, which our company is subscribed to. As a designer, Adobe Photoshop is the standard for photo editing and illustration and is an essential part of my job. It is a program recognized by most companies, which makes it easy to share files and send things to print.
  • Brush customization. There are many available brushes for illustration, and each can be customized to fit the needs of your specific style.
  • Integration with other Adobe products. It is essential that the images I create be accessible in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator, and [Adobe] Photoshop can be placed and edited easily within those programs.
  • Advanced editing. The possibilities for editing photos [are] endless, with new features being added constantly.
  • Large learning curve. It takes a long time to learn, an eternity to master. I have used it for 10+ years, and I still am learning new things it's capable of.
  • Busy UI. As the program updates over time, [...] tools and features will [often] move, which buries them, and I can't find them again. It can also be frustrating when a rogue key is pressed, which switches around the layout with no indicator for how to get it back to how it was.
  • Clunky automation. There are times I need to batch-create something or batch-edit, and it is never intuitive how to get through the process. I always have to refer to tutorials because the features are never where I think they are.
Adobe Photoshop is great for photo editing and illustration. While a beginner can use it and learn the inner workings of the program, it is definitely an advanced tool with many more features and abilities than other similar products. It would not be well suited for anyone that has simple edits they want to make or [doesn't] have the time [and] dedication that it takes to learn.

<p>As an agency that works with multiple global corporate clients, it is essential for our design team to deliver top notch designs that please our clients and can deliver on their core marketing messages wether through social media or outdoor billboard. </p><p>To achieve that, our designers selected Adobe Photoshop as the main software to assist them in performing their work. </p><p>This powerful platform offers them with the tool necessary to create all shapes of designs, from simple object cutouts, to complex layers of designs and masking. In addition, over the years, we've developed many templates that are easy to use and allowed our non-designer employees to create social media posts on the go, without the need for extensive knowledge of Photoshop. </p>
  • Quite easy to learn, and the internet is filled with free tutorials
  • Masking objects allows our designers to edit photos without risking loss or corruption of design ( it allows us to cut out unnecessary parts and test creative concepts and filters)
  • One of the first platforms to innovate layered designing, and one of the most robust with features related to it
  • While it is easy to find tutorials, applying them can be slightly overwhelming for new users due to the high number of tools and features within the programme. It would definitely benefit from having a beginner's friendly custom interface mode.
  • Adobe creative suite can be very expensive, especially if you are looking to use 1 or 2 softwares out of the bundle.
Knowledge of using Adobe Photoshop is essential for any designer whether they are looking to work in corporate companies or as a freelancer.
This robust tool will allow any designer to shine and to showcase their creative talent with ease. And non-designer marketers should also have basic knowledge of the platform as it is an important weapon to add to their arsenal.

Photoshop has been implemented to assist in developing advertising, assets for animation and videos, designing branding, concept materials and more. Acting as the entirety of the creative department, it is necessary to have a powerful, flexible, and consistent design platform. The ability to work seamlessly with other Adobe programs without special exporting is a major time-saver.
  • Very few glitches or poorly designed features
  • Massive tool set
  • Integration with other software
  • Needs consistency with other software i.e. same hotkeys or expected behavior between tools in Ps and Ai
  • universal Ps files instead of special .psb for large formats
  • Migration of 3rd party plugins on update
For very basic designs or limited need, other software or freeware could be suitable. Getting beyond the basic, you quickly run out of flexibility, power, and function: this is where photoshop comes in. The ability to work in multiple color modes and formats is a must when communicating and working with print shops, web designers, etc.

Adobe PhotoShop is being used across our organization in very specialized settings. While it is not widely used, that is because the skill set required to use it is specialized. It specifically addresses the problem or opportunity of graphic design needs and communication design that goes beyond your typical PowerPoint with image stuffed in. It is also widely used by our commercial and digital teams.
  • Layered images: This helps us manipulate specific portions of images without damaging the original. Layers are exceptionally useful.
  • Pre-measured templates for common outputs (banner ads, social images, etc.).
  • High quality image design and manipulation for multiple platforms and dpi counts.
  • PhotoShop is a specialized tool with a learning curve. The controls are sometimes cryptic to the unimmersed.
  • The licensing model for PhotoShop and the Creative Suite can sometimes be cost-prohibitive and hard to justify deploying.
  • There are lots of overlaps in the Adobe Creative Suite that make it difficult to know if PhotoShop, Lightroom, PhotoShop Lite, etc. are the right tools for the job.
Adobe PhotoShop is a standard for creative teams and it is particularly well-suited for distributed design teams who like to share creative projects in the creative cloud. It is excellent for layered graphics and more advanced professional work, but it is also a solid tool for novice designers who want to professionalize their work in a meaningful way. PhotoShop Express is a good option in some situations, but there is no real replacement for good work done in PhotoShop—so much so that PhotoShop is as much a verb as it is a product.

Photoshop is a very important part of my photography workflow. It is used as a major step in giving my photos a finished and stylized look. I also use it to correct minor imperfections in lighting as well as cleaning up backgrounds. I use it in secondary parts of my business to create training materials, books, and web graphics.
  • Cleaning: PS is particularly well suited for cleaning surfaces, backgrounds, and even clothing. The clone and stamp tools are far more advanced than other options.
  • Organization: Using PS within the Adobe ecosystem makes organizing projects as well as your body of work quite easy.
  • Panels: The layout of PS is completely customizable using panels. I have separate setups for editing, lighting, and retouching. These can be recalled with one click.
  • Bloating: I have noticed that in later versions the program itself is becoming a little heavier and slower to open. It is also becoming a little more resource-intensive.
  • Subscription: While I love the subscription concept to make upgrades easier, there are few options for subscribing. I would also like to see fewer frequent updates.
If you are a professional photographer there is no equal when it comes to editing photos. Photoshop is particularly well suited for high-end retouching and mixed media workflows. The retouching tools such as clone and stamp combined with the ability to do non-destructive editing on a layered canvas makes this a powerful tool in a retouching workflow.
In my mixed media projects, combining Bridge with Photoshop is an absolute necessity. It is very easy to move projects around from application to application as well as pull media in from other projects. The seamless integration between applications allows me to update a File in any of their applications in real-time. This increases my speed to delivery dramatically.

Adobe PhotoShop is almost exclusively used by our Marketing Department to assist with creative development. This includes whitepapers, digital ads, sell-sheets, and any other materials that may require images. It is mostly used by our in-house designer, but may also be used by other Marketing Team members during the content development process. Photos\Shop is typically used for image editing.
  • Photo editing.
  • Advertisement development for print & online images.
  • Adding consistent design details.
  • Finding ways of making image sharing easier. With high-resolution images, the file sizes can be quite large and difficult to share with team members.
  • More integration with other Adobe products make it easier to move from editing an image in photoshop to getting it into Illustrator and visa versa.
  • More instruction for beginners with tutorials on how to do something embedded into the application.
If you need to do any image editing, PhotoShop is an extremely powerful tool. Although there are other photo-editing apps, learning PhotoShop can allow you to do more with your images. This can then positively impact your brand image through better creative assets.

Adobe PhotoShop is used for a lot more than just photo editing; it's also used to create graphical mockups for web design proposals, UI designs, and image manipulation for other things like flyers and social media templates. It's quite handy and has a lot of interoperability (e.g., vector assets can be easily designed in Illustrator and imported into Adobe PhotoShop).
  • Extremely robust features
  • The ability to see the changed image in Illustrator and InDesign automatically is fantastic
  • Create transparent backdrops for web-ready photos
  • It takes time to learn how to use it, just like anything else that is highly productive
With the passage of time, Adobe PhotoShop's dominance is being challenged by alternative software that offers more powerful and useful capabilities. Adobe PhotoShop's popularity has remained unaffected by increased competition since most businesses and professionals continue to rely on it to meet their image editing demands. I'm one of those people who utilizes this software to create memes and high-quality, engaging graphics.

Select individuals in our department use Adobe Photoshop as a tool with their eLearning design and video production. Photoshop is primarily used to manipulate graphics that are a part of those projects. However, Photoshop is also used to create some original graphics for our learning management system, video projects, and eLearning modules. We use it as a part of the other tools in the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of software. The use of the software allows us to circumvent outsourcing for our graphic work.
  • AI editing with object removal and increasing image resolution.
  • Multiple file format support for flexibility to work with any image.
  • Layer based image manipulation and editing.
  • Ease of use/high learning curve for new users.
  • Better mobile support for tablets.
  • System resource management for smooth operation.
In my opinion, Photoshop is the industry standard for professional pixel-based image editing and creation if you want to go beyond the basic consumer editing programs. I have tried several competitors and they just don't add up to Photoshop's feature set and ease of use. Photoshop is very good for using layers to create images for any type of project. However, it isn't great if you need to edit a large batch of images. Adobe Lightroom would be better suited for that scenario.

As an organization that makes a majority of our graphics for digital and print media in house, we use Adobe Photoshop regularly as one of the tools in our box for creative design. From quick and easy slides to more complex graphics projects Photoshop has been a huge win for our organization.
  • Adobe Photoshop is an industry standard for graphic design and does its job well.
  • For editing PDFs, JPGs, or creating graphics from scratch, Photoshop works like a charm.
  • Photoshop has a selection of quality tools and is easily customizable to suit your work style.
  • There is a bit of a learning curve when it comes to Photoshop that can cause new users to struggle.
  • Sometimes Photoshop rolls out new updates that feel like they can throw off workflow until you get used to them.
  • Photoshop doesn't work natively in Vectors which can be an issue for scaling graphics.
Photoshop is a phenomenal graphic design program that, once learned, can be come a quick and easy go to. For creating graphics from scratch, or doing a quick edit, Photoshop is great.

Because you can't work in Vectors, sometimes Photoshop lags behind other programs and you can quickly end up with pixelated or blurry images.

Many people within multiple departments at our company use Adobe Photoshop, from our creative team to productions and HR. As an event management, creative and production agency, Photoshop is used regularly to create internal communication and design assets, production assets for live events, and all creative assets for both virtual and live events.
  • It's an amazing design and photo editing tool
  • It has a lot of functionality
  • You can easily manage editing multiple documents simultaneously
  • It has so much functionality so can take a long time to learn the software.
  • They are always making updates to the software, which is great, but you have to be ready to always be learning new things about it.
  • It would be great if you could copy your editing settings for multiple documents.
Adobe Photoshop is a great tool for anyone who is in a creative role, or where you need creative assets for your work. It is a tool that has endless possibilities. It is great for photographers, designers, social media specialists, HR teams, etc. I highly recommend the product because of its vast functionality. However, if you are not going to be using it on a regular basis, it may not be the best solution because it is pricey. You may be better off using a tool like Canva in that case.

Adobe Photoshop is primarily used in preparing marketing collateral.
  • A wide variety of tools to create and edit imagery
  • Strong batching capabilities
  • Well established and knowledgable community
  • Flexible, able to fill many roles. Digital painting, photo editing, graphic design, etc.
  • It's powerful and robust nature makes it intimidating for new users
  • File sizes can get quite large
  • Expensive
It is the standard for all digital image manipulation. Graphic design, illustration, photography... all areas that Adobe Photoshop is an essential tool for. It is the standard in many industries for good reason, it performs tremendously. However, if you only need to edit an image occasionally, it might be overkill. You might be better suited with a simpler and cheaper option.

With the changing times, the authority of Adobe Photoshop is challenged by other software that provides features that are powerful and rich in utilities.
Increased competition has not affected Photoshop's popularity as most businesses and professionals still rely on it to fulfill their IMAGE EDITING needs. I am one of them who uses this software to make memes and high-quality compelling designs.
  • Photoshop is useful to recover old or damaged photos.
  • Surplus of state-of-the-art tools at your disposal.
  • Trivial editing can be done with ease.
  • Creativity can be fully unlocked with the built-in library of values.
  • It is easy to use, although its high professional level is quite complex and requires a lot of knowledge to be used correctly.
  • It is a relatively expensive tool compared to other photo editing software.
  • It is not easy to use, it requires prior learning.
  • It needs a cloud subscription for some features.
  • It is heavy and may be difficult to work with on some computers.
Despite suffering some downsides, Photoshop continues to dominate the graphics editing market with its powerful and contemporary tools. If you have great imagination skills, Photoshop will be an excellent assistant in the embodiment of the most daring ideas. You should try it.
But I think Photoshop has a lot of tools and it can confuse newbies. Consequently, it takes a lot of time to learn the whole features of Photoshop
